Hey Murderinos! This is what I taught you and if you need help, here are people doing it the exact same way I showed you so you don’t get confused. Once you feel like you’re ready to learn some cool patterns with the knit and purl stitch check out my other post showing you how to knit pretty 🙂

Casting on:

Knit Stitch:

Remember to make a cross with your spare needle going into that first stitch and hold your yarn tight in your left hand like she does below. It’s really all about practice and you’ll soon find how to go faster and do it the way it feels comfortable for you.

Purl Stitch:

This is the opposite of the knit stitch, you are taking the spare needle and working it in front of the working need (the needle that has all the stitches on it). Below, she does it the same way I do. Again, practice makes perfect.

Bind Off/ Cast Off

This is how I usually cast off. I did not show ya’ll this the first time put this is the proper way to cast off. It’s very easy! Again practice makes perfect!

How To Make Yoga Shirts

shirt 8

This is a tutorial on how to take regular t-shirts and make them into what I like to call yoga shirts! 🙂

All you need is a t-shirt and scissors!

shirt 2

Cut off the bottom seam, the seams of the sleeves, and about one inch inwards to makes the ‘straps’ smaller, then cut off the top collar seam.

shirt 1

To make the front neckline lower cut off another inch and a half of the neckline.

shirt 3

Next, flip the shirt so you are cutting the back. Make sure to make the back straps small and cut the middle of the back in a “V” shape.

shirt 4

With extra fabric from a sleeve, cut it all into one long strip by pretending the fabric is a swirl. Just keep cutting.

shirt 5

shirt 6

Next, tie the now string fabric in a knot around the straps in the back. Now, make the ‘four’ loop that is used in making friendship bracelets.

shirt 7

Tie off the end and cut any long strips unless you want to make a bow in the back like I did. The shirt should look like this.

shirt 8

If you need to make the underarms looser to have more room for your arms then cut about two inches of fabric off in the underarms.

shirt 9

And this is what the shirt will look like from the front and back.

How To Bleach Jeans

First off you’ll need to find a space to bleach. You don’t want to get it on anything like carpets, towels that matter, or clothes that you care about.

Next you need the materials:
– less that 1/4 cup of bleach
– jeans or shorts dark enough and not already bleached
– cardboard or something to put in between the jeans
– a small cup or bottle to pour/drip the bleach with
– if you want, a pencil’s eraser

Put the cardboard or whatever you are using under the jeans and pour the desired amount of bleach in the bottle or cup. DO NOT TOUCH BLEACH. Its best to not touch it unless you are using your fingers to spread it around.

Don’t pour it all on one area because that would look awkward, just swirl it around when you pour it.

Next, I put small dots and even smaller swirls using the eraser by dipping it into the bleach and slightly pouring it out. To make the dots bigger and lighter, press harder with the eraser bottom.

Do the same to the back of the jeans with a big pattern, adding small dots and small swirls. (Doesn’t the pocket on the right look like a giant 2?)

Now, flip it back over to the front, you can see the bleach taking form in the jeans. Take a look at both sides of the jeans.

Now, final step – rinse in cold water and leave to dry – you can then see what it really looks like – its awesome. Check it out.

Remember to put back the bathroom or wherever the crazy hippie-ish stuff took place.

With love and the smell of bleach,
